According to Xinhua Finance and Economics (Mi Wang, Youchen Shen), on May 14, at the Youth Forum of the China International Finance Association, the Report on the Global Exchange Rate Spillover Indices (2021) jointly prepared by the economics discipline of Xiamen University and Xinhua Index was released.

With the development of economic globalization, the pattern of the global monetary system is constantly changing, the exchange rate links between countries and regions are increasingly close, and the evolution of mutual anchoring and mutual influence between currency exchange rates is gradually emerging. In this context, Xinhua Index, together with the economics discipline of Xiamen University, jointly upgraded and released the global exchange rate transmission index on the basis of the results of the RMB exchange rate international influence index. The research results give full play to the advantages of the key research base of humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education, "Center for Macroeconomic Research of Xiamen University", and the first key laboratory of econometrics of the Ministry of Education (Xiamen University), which intersects liberal arts and science, in models, methods and professionals, as well as the data, technology, channels and professional information services of the national financial information platform, "Xinhua Finance", By tracking the net impact of eight major currencies and currencies related to the "the Belt and Road Initiative", it reflects the status and evolution trend of "anchor currencies" of different currencies, and reflects the changes in the global monetary system based on the dynamic network of interaction between currency exchange rates.
