Wenzhang Chen, Vice Chairman, reviewed his learning experience in the Economics Department of the School of Economics of Xiamen University, expressed his feelings for students in his mother's college. He briefly introduced the topic selection and demand for contributions of Southeast Academic Research, thanked the Center for Macroeconomic Research of Xiamen University for its support to Southeast Academic Rearch, and expected to continue to receive the help of the Center's high-quality contributions in the future. Jianmin Yang, Chief Editor, emphasized the important contribution of Xiamen University to the social science research in Xiamen, Fujian Province and even the whole country, and highly praised the solid research work of the Economics Section of Xiamen University that has been "developing general attempts into positive exploration" and "sublimating Chinese experience into Chinese theory" for a long time. In the past, the articles of the economic discipline of Xiamen University published in Southeast Academic Research have quite high citation and reprint rates, hoping that in the future, the Economics Department of Xiamen University will carry forward the past and open up the future, and continue to do a good job in economic theory and practice research with Chinese characteristics. Qicai Huang, deputy editor in chief, focused on the eight types of columns in the Asia-Pacific Economic Review. He hoped that all colleagues of the Center for Macroeconomic Research of Xiamen University and the economics discipline of Xiamen University could contribute more on topics related to the world economy, world trade, regional economic integration, opening up, and service trade, so as to build a long-term and stable cooperative relationship between the two sides. Yan Chen, an associate researcher, exchanged the main topics of the current Fujian Tribune, which focused on China's major development strategy topics, the construction of local think tanks, and the research on academic frontier issues of contemporary Marxist theory and practice. Jianqing Miao, the chief editor of Journal of Fuzhou University, emphasized the importance of research team and young scholars' research work in the symposium. He welcomed the doctoral students and graduate students in the economic discipline of Xiamen University to contribute actively, and pointed out that the journal would create team topics, academic columns and other columns, which would not be limited by the number of articles and the rate of citation, and would give priority to the quality of contributions, with a moderate preference for the less popular disciplines.
Professor Yinggang Zhou welcomed all the guests and said that the future the Center for Macroeconomic Research of Xiamen University and the economic discipline of Xiamen University could continue to strengthen exchanges with key journals in the province and further consolidate the foundation of bilateral cooperation; Professor Zhiyuan Lin briefly introduced the work achievements and contents of the macro prediction team of the Center for Macroeconomic Research of Xiamen University, and pointed out that in the future, he would consider combining the topic selection requirements of the provincial journals, and strive for more contributions while doing his own work, so as to further close the relationship with each journal.
