The Annual Meeting of Economic Fluctuation and Growth Research Workshop in 2021 was successfully held in the Economic Building of Xiamen University on Dec. 4, 2021.

More than 70 scholars from domestic universities shared their achievements and ideas on digital currency and monetary policy, macro-finance, the financial crisis, and income distribution and other related issues.

On the morning of the 4th, the opening ceremony of the conference was was held in the Economic Building of Xiamen University. Professor Yinggang Zhou delivered an opening speech and warmly welcomed the participating scholars to the economic discipline of Xiamen University. Professor Yinggang Zhou noted that many of the papers presented at the forum have been published in top international and domestic economic journals in the six years since the forum was held. "Using Scientific Methods to Study China Issue" is the goal of the forum of Economic Fluctuation and Growth. We hoped that all of paticipants can continue to adhere to and carry forward this concept, and jointly promote the innovation and development of domestic macroeconomics.

The conference lasted for one and a half days, with a total of 4 sub-forums and 2 groups of macroeconomic new stars.

Following the usual style, the conference provided 40-60 minutes for each keynote speaker to present paper, receive comments from the reviewers and discuss, aiming at the most in-depth interpretation and analysis of the selected articles, sharp comments and fierce discussion, so as to build a platform for macroeconomic scholars to deeply exchange views and promote academic cooperation.

This Annual Meeting was hosted by the Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics of Xiamen University, the Center for Macroeconomic Research of Xiamen University and School of Economics of Xiamen University, jointly initiated by Peking University HSBC Business School, Financial Development and Policy Research Center of Wuhan University, Fubon Center for Finance and Industry Research at Xiamen University, lnstitute of Public Finance and Taxation at Renmin University of China, Silk Road Financial Research Center at Central University of Finance and Economics, the journal of China Economic Studies and the journal of Review of Economic Research.

Since 2016, the Annual Meeting of Economic Fluctuation and Growth Research Workshop has been successfully held at Renmin University of China, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Xiamen University, Central University of Finance and Economics, Jinan University and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, building a platform for regular and in-depth exchanges among macroeconomic economists and jointly promoting the innovation and development of domestic macroeconomics.
